Spring 2018 Newsletter: Communication as a Skill

A NOTE FROM JENNIFER

This week, during our latest Speak Up & Be Effective™- Momentum program, I enjoyed lunch with six participants while discussing an article I make a point to read and re-read throughout the course of the year. The article, written by John Maxwell, articulates the importance of connection in order to communicate effectively. But it also includes this quote: "To lead others, you must be able to communicate well and connecting is key." Connection and communication are skills, competencies that are learned and honed and applied. They require energy and time. They require work. And our team is grateful for the opportunity to partner with individuals and organizations throughout the nation to do that work together. We look forward to more opportunities to connect and communicate in the future.

Best,

Jennifer Maxson
